Under-privileged children attending the class of Alliance Holdings - Jaago online school.
It was a remarkable Victory Month for 82 small children who are students of the first online school of the country.
Located at Tongi, the two storied eye-catching school building donated by Alliance Holdings Limited is the third branch of Jaago Foundation, an organization that provides free education to under-privileged children. Jaago presently teaches over 300 students across the various schools, says a press release.
The official inauguration was performed last Friday before the presence of distinguished guests from the community, teachers and management of Jaago Foundation and management of Alliance Holdings Limited.
A milad mahfil and dua was performed before the school began its first classes on the occasion of Victory Day. The students with smiling faces and clad in beautiful dresses, participated in various lessons, sang songs, recited nursery rhymes and responded smartly to questions of visitors and guests. Toys along with boxes of sweets were distributed among the students at the end of a brief class session.
The Alliance Holdings, a conglomerate of companies which works in several sectors from beverage to container terminals/off-docks in its vision to build and empower communities and improve the social conditions of people decided to support Jaago's activities. Together they aim to enhance the quality of lives and the betterment of under-privileged and poverty stricken children. Alliance Holdings funded the building of the school which was made from pre-engineered steel. The school presently caters to 82 children and is expected to enroll another 40 children from next year.
Korvi Rakshand, Founder of Jaago Foundation, along with M Anwarul Haq (Executive Director -- Corporate Affairs) and Ms. Mahmuda Hussain (Manager CSR, of Alliance Holdings) were among those present.
